Environmentally Safe Water Treatment

Through a process of treating your well, we are able to quickly and effectively kill the bacterial residents that are found in the bore ’area’ of wells. We cannot guarantee that we can kill all the bacteria in the ’Aquifer’, because we don't know the relationship between the size of the aquifer, the porosity and fracture infiltration of bacteria into the aquifer; or, the volume of bacteria, biofilm, and nutrients in the aquifer. We do know that our process will substantially eliminate the "Bacteria" from the well bore area. How long your well will remain clean will depend upon all of the factors discussed above, and the well owner will recognize the bacteria's return through testing or the reappearance of color, smell or taste. Generally wells remain clean for at least 6 months and often for a year and more; but, each well will be unique. The Biostel product is able to kill microorganisms almost instantly, because it contains four different and powerful killing agents. The microorganisms do not have the opportunity to build immunity.

Water Treatment Technology

Biostel Water Services uses a new patented technology from Switzerland, in a multi step process to treat water wells in North America. This service is being initially introduced in Alberta. The technology is being safely applied in farms, food processing and bottling plants across Europe. The European Union Authority has declared this product as safe for human and animal applications. Our product is environmentally friendly; degradable in air and soil; leaving no hazardous waste. The Biostel product is non-corrosive, and is currently being used in Europe as a Log 2 to 4 sterilizing solution in bottling plants, specifically because it is non corrosive.

Our proprietary product is effective at killing, almost instantly, a broad range of bacterial populations including: Iron Reducing Bacteria, Sulfur Reducing Bacteria, Slime Bacteria, Heterotrophic Bacteria; and pathogens including E-coli, Salmonella, and Legionella to name but a few major well water contaminants "of concern". The treatment process generally takes two hours, but can be longer for deeper and more contaminated wells. It leaves no strong odor or taste residues in the water, so both animals and humans can resume use immediately.

Well Treatment Results!

This September 2008 picture below shows water from a well contaminated with Iron Bacteria near Red Deer, Alberta. The water in the bottle on the left is before treatment; the two bottles in the middle are taken from the flow, as the contaminants were flushed out of the well after treatment and, the bottle on the right, is the water after the complete treatment.

According to the owner the well water is "cleaner than I have ever seen it"!
