“The water had a smell of rotten eggs”

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

After purchasing our acreage we discovered we had a problem with our water. The water had a smell of rotten eggs. Anywhere the water sat for a short time a slime coating developed. For example our toilets contained slime as well as the dishes we sued for watering our dogs. We noticed that our dogs became sick from drinking the water once it stood for a while.

The water was saturated with gas; it came out of the tap white. After a full minute a glass of water was still cloudy.

We heard of Biostel Water Services and made the decision to treat our well with this new alternative. After the first treatment the water was clear and smelled fresh by the pressure tank where it came out of the water well. In the house we noticed that the slime was almost gone from any standing water.

We believe that we have contaminants in the lines from the pressure tank to the house, because of the quality of the water we have by the pressure tank and the change till it reaches the outlets in the house.

Because of the success treating the well we decided to treat our well a second time and run the Biostel solutions into the house and break down the contaminants while sitting in the lines.

As a result of the second treatment the smell was completely gone and there was no slime on any standing water. Our dogs became much healthier. We believe our dogs were sick because of the water they drank before we treated our well.

Our experience with Biostel Water Services has been very positive and successful and we would highly recommend this service.

“I began to notice that the water had a strong and defined smell of sour gas”

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Six months after drilling my well I had to replace the pump. After completing this replacement I began to notice that the water had a strong and defined smell of sour gas. I decided to have the well shocked with chlorine to see if it would improve the quality of the water. After shocking the well, and pumping it for 2 hours there was no difference in the water quality. I was also unable to drink the water for 3 days. It got that bad that when I had visitors and they used any water in the house, that it caused them to gag, the rotten egg odor was that strong.

I heard from Biostel Water Services from friends about one year after shocking the well with chlorine. I decided to treat my well with this new service available. The well was treated and pumped for 1 ½ hours. During this time, the water was being constantly tested. After this treatment the water cleared up and I was again able to use the water. There is no smell or bad taste to the water for more than 8 months.

The process used by Biostel Water Services is safe and reliable. I felt secure in using the water after the well was treated. I would highly recommend the service offered by Biostel Water Service. I will proactively treat my well every year from now on and will protect my precious water source.

“I feel that the product does and excellent job”

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

I am Wayne Lewis, I own and operate a truck and equipment repair facility and also operate a small mixed farm operation. The crew at the shop was starting to complain about the water, out of the well that supplies the shop and a residence, it was getting very rusty looking and acquiring an odour. Our new residence water well did not have a great abundance of water and it also had an odour.

I realized that in order to maintain the health and safety of our families and staff we had to address the situation. We talked to Ivo and he felt he could improve on our situation. Ivo and his crew treated both wells with the Biostel Water. He took before and after pictures of the water out of both wells. The shop water was very rusty, almost dirty looking, and the home water was not as bad but it had an odour.

After treating the wells, the shop water was clear, as was the home water and neither well had any odour at all. The crew at the shop noticed it right away also. Ivo also feels that if we continue treating the home water well, we will also increase the water supply out of that well, and I think he is probably right. The most noticeable thing about treating the wells with the Biostel product is that you do not have to pump the wells for hours afterwards to get rid of the chlorine in the well. I feel that the product does and excellent job. Good work Ivo.

“After the Biostel treatment it was hard to believe the improvement in the water clarity”

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Last summer our iron filter system failed.

It was 2 years old and was guaranteed to work for 10 years so it was replaced.

However the well was having flow problems and it did not make sense to do the same thing over again so we looked around for a company to shock our well.

Biostel was brought to our attention and we decided to have Ivo come out and treat the well.

While flowing the well back after the Biostel treatment it was hard to believe the improvement in the water clarity.

At first the water came back as a greasy black emulsion which quickly cleared up to a orange colored water and  2 hours later was clear.

The flow of the well increased to where it is now able to discharge water 7 meters from a garden hose.

The whole process took 3 or 4 hours and  6 months out our water is still clear and clean.

We would not hesitate to recommend this process to people looking for an option to clean their water wells.
